Dharma Ridge Farm is hiring for three positions.
Field Worker (Full-Time)
About the farm:We at Dharma Ridge Farm are currently farming on the historic 100+ acre Boulton Farm in Quilcene, WA, growing about 30 acres of mixed vegetables. The farm sits in a wild and beautiful stretch of Leland Valley, home to abundant wildlife, rich, well draining soils and all the potential for a lifetime of work growing food for our community!
Job description: Be apart of the field crew during the peak of the season, mid-June through the end of September. Work days are Monday through Friday. Work hours can range from six to ten hour a day, depending on the daily tasks and/or orders to be filled.The day starts between 7am and 8am, though employees are expected to arrive a few minutes early so we can start working at that time. The work day goes until the harvest and clean-up tasks are complete.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs throughout the day, work on your hands and knees or bent over harvesting for extended periods of time. We work in all weather conditions, so you must be able to provide adequate clothing and attitude whether it’s rain or shine, or cold or hot days.
Work Experience/Skills desired: Interested in people who are excited about working on the land and providing nutritious and delicious food for their family and community. We hope for workers who want to be apart of something greater than themselves, who believe in sustainable agriculture, and who aren’t afraid to sweat and work hard.
Previous farm experiences is preferred, but not necessary. Experience in other outdoor, physical jobs is also highly valued. Need to be responsible, flexible, hard working, able to take directions, and a good communicator.
Need to have previously held a job for 6 months or more.
Salary: $10/hr plus vegetables from the farm, all you can eat!

Harvest Worker (Part-Time)

Farmers Market Seller

The farm sits in a wild and beautiful stretch of Leland Valley, home to abundant wildlife, rich, well draining soils and all the potential for a lifetime of work growing food for our community!
Job description: Represent the amazingness of our farm at the Port Townsend, WA Farmers’ Market! Interact and build relationships with our community while providing them with the highest quality vegetables we have to offer. Market’s are on Saturdays, and while market goes from 9am-3pm, employees can expect to start a few hours early and end two hours later for morning loading produce, driving to market, setting up, and afternoon tear down, and driving back to the farm. The expected hours are from 6:15am to 5pm, though hours vary slightly depending on the amount of produce to load and upload. Job starts immediately and goes until the end of September.
