Interested in agriculture, food justice, or food waste? Want to make a difference serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate and increase the healthy food accessible to food insecure populations?
Serve with Rotary First Harvests Harvest Against Hunger (HAH) program to reduce food waste while alleviating hunger. Since 2009, HAH has placed over 115 AmeriCorps VISTA members with 45 host site organizations, to engage with over 25,000 volunteers, and recover over 5 million pounds of fresh healthy produce for families in need across the country.
This program runs for the summer from June 11- August 18, 2018. We have opportunities in Maple Valley, Whidbey Island, Everett, Leavenworth, Olympia, Colville, Spokane, Walla Walla, Port Angeles, Mt, Vernon, Puyallup, and Seattle! Earn a biweekly living allowance of 472.22 (based on rate of poverty in the community). Upon completion of service term, earn an Education Award of 1,252!
