Paid, full-time market sales position available with Razey Orchards --Seattle, WA

Razey Orchards is looking for an employee who can work full time during their season (generally 8 weeks from early July through August), with a training week in late June. This person needs to be over 21, able to handle market conditions and variables, be a good salesperson, and of course be reliable and trustworthy and possess all the usual market employee attributes. The ability to drive a truck would be a plus. They will sell at five markets and possibly handle some delivery and/or pickup from a storage site.

Mary Kay and Bill Razey own Razey Orchards, a small organic cherry operation in Naches. They’ve been direct selling their cherries in the Seattle area for 30 years, having been at Pike Place for all of those years and also at the Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance markets.

Last year Mary Kay had a traumatic fall from which she has almost completely recovered. Unfortunately, she has recently dislocated her shoulder twice and is facing yet another surgery. Because their family’s livelihood depends on their farm they have to go forward this year like any other – but will be without Mary Kay’s usual strength and involvement.
