Dates: April 1, 2019 through October 31, 2019 (dates are flexible)

About our farm(s)

We are a 4.5 acre non-certified organic farm that grows a variety of vegetables and fruits for CSA, market, farmstand and restaurant sales. We have pastured laying hens on site. Drew, one of CCF’s owners, also has a 65 acre farm 30 minutes south in Graham where he grows mushrooms and raises meat chickens, turkeys, cows, pigs, and sheep.

About the internship

April through October. Start day in April is flexible. Primarily this internship is involved with Clark’s Creek Farm of Puyallup. We provide a place to stay; At the very beginning of the season this may be a clean trailer. We are in the process of finishing an intern tiny home which will be completed this summer. We will provide vegetables, fruits, and eggs from the farm. We also provide a stipend after the first month of work. In return, we expect five 6-hour days of work per week through the season. Three of these days each week will be on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Tuesdays and Fridays will be spent helping harvest, putting together CSA boxes and packing produce for market/restaurant sales. After harvest is complete, we will work on any other physical task the farm may need. Saturdays will be spent harvesting, then running our onsite farmstand while working various other tasks during any downtime.
The two remaining days will be flexible on which days of the week. One of them will be spent wo

rking on physical tasks Clark’s Creek Farm of Puyallup needs. The other will be spent working at Rolling Rocks Farm in Graham. This includes involvement in mushroom production (Oyster, Shiitake and Lions Mane), pastured meat bird (chickens and turkeys), and pig, cow, sheep, and alpaca raising. We provide an opportunity to do weekly laundry at Rolling Rocks Farm as well.

A vehicle is not necessary (if you have a bike), as we are less than 2 miles from downtown Puyallup, 7 miles from Tacoma. Transportation can be provided for the day to/from Rolling Rocks Farm. Sorry, not a post-treatment facility.
