Farm Stand+ position

First Light Farm, an eco- and family-friendly, 6 acre u-pick and membership farm in Carnation, Washington, is looking for help on weekends at our busy farm stand.  Duties include: greeting the public, taking adults and families on tours of the farm to orient them to the different vegetables, herbs and flower areas for u-pick, answering questions and teaching about sustainable farming practices, helping with monthly events, as well as keeping up with general tasks of propagation, planting, weeding, and harvesting.  Saturdays and Sundays, 10-6 pm, June through October.  Must be equally passionate about local farming and interfacing with a diverse public. Applicant needs to be independent but also take direction well and work well within a team structure. $15/hr. Applicant will need to drive to the farm as we do not provide housing.  We cook lunch on-site directly from the field. We work hard and have fun.
