General Description: Green Bow Farm is located in the Kittitas Valley near Ellensburg, WA. We are a small family farm focused on pasture based meat raising cattle, sheep, hogs, and poultry. Soil and pasture health a priority that in turn cares for the animals. In addition, we raise row crops of herbs, onion and garlic. We feed over one-hundred families a year through our farmers markets and CSA.

Meals: Some meals will be provided by the house while others will be taken individually. Most food will be provided by the farm and stipend to be used for additional food items.

Skills Desired: Experience prefered. We are seeking a self starting, self motivated individual with good communication skills that apply to everyday tasks and conflict resolution.

Educational Opportunities: Interns will learn about butchering requirements, poultry processing, marketing, sheep shearing, soil health and testing, planting, forage values, planting and harvesting row crops, value added products such as soap and yarn and much more.

Stipend: $400/mo. starting, 5 day week.

Housing: Private room with kitchenette and 3/4 bath. WiFi available. Personal computer not provided. Interns must have personal transportation.

Internship Details: Interns will work alongside the farmers here in the beautiful Kittitas Valley surrounded by mountains and wildlife. Gain hands on experience of rotational grazing and animal management in lush pastures, while also experiencing weekly markets, work with customers and get hands-on experience in direct marketing. There will also be opportunities to visit other sustainable, direct marketing farms.
