Opportunity to be a farmer

Sweet Briar Herb Farm, certified organic market vegetable and herb grower is looking for 2 people who want to be farmers. Although it is a small farm it has all the infrastructure to support someone and if necessary be able to expand.

Right now, I need at least 2 people to work for the season and maybe longer. We will provide housing and a stipend. The person needs to be physically fit as some work can be strenuous, but all work on a farm is in someway rewarding.

The farm is located out in the country close to the mountains and lakes. There are many fun things to do and the weather is usually pretty good. The community is friendly and welcomes strangers.

An intern at Sweet Briar will learn about greenhouse/high tunnel growing, marketing your product and a lot about the power of herbs used both as culinary and medicinal. Farming is more than putting a seed in the ground and the additional skills will help you your entire life.
