Orchard Sidekick Sought. Paid position!

Dates: April 17, 2018 through October 31, 2018 (dates are flexible)Learn all aspects of running a small diversified orchard in sunny Okanogan county while earning $13-$15 per hour. Tasks will include thinning, harvesting and packing tree fruit, harvesting and processing garlic and asparagus, general orchard maintenance such as irrigating and mowing. There will be some weeds to pull, but way less than on a veggie farm! Tractor and chainsaw experience is a plus, but training opportunities will come up.
Work begins ASAP and continues into early November. We can be flexible for a student who may need to start late or end early, but we would prefer someone to work the full season. Modest but free housing is available and there will be opportunities to take time off to explore our beautiful county, or work on a personal garden, or work on nearby farms or just rest.
