Dates: March 1, 2013 through November 30, 2013 (dates are flexible)Mystery Bay Farm is currently seeking an apprentice for the 2013 season. We are a small goat dairy on Marrowstone Island on the Olympic Peninsula. We practice intensive rotational pasture, make our own mixed grass hay and make award winning fresh cheese and yogurt. An apprentice will have the opportunity to learn and participate in all aspects of dairy operation: animal management (kidding, hoof trimming, parasite management, etc.), milking, cleaning, cheese/yogurt making and packaging, pasture rotation, hay making and farmer’s market sales.
