Dates: April 1, 2017 through September 30, 2017 (dates are flexible)Are you looking for an opportunity to learn about regenerative agriculture and permaculture practices? We are looking for individuals inspired to learn and join our farm in 2017.
The internship is part time and individuals receive a weekly stipend. Interns work along side the farmer and have time set aside for lessons along with in field experience each week. We are participants in the Washington Small Farms Internship Program. We will be using the Western Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Farm Internship Curriculum with emphasis on soil science, crop rotations, cover crops, composting, irrigation, and greenhouse basics. Field study modules will include plant propagation, transplanting, harvesting, post-harvest handling, and weed management. Regenerative and permaculture practices will be integrated into this curriculum.
