The Springfield Dairy was founded in 1960 by Chuck and Sue Kesey. In 1970, Springfield Creamery became what is believed to be the first creamery in the United States to introduce yogurt containing live acidophilus cultures. They began marketing this yogurt under the brand name "Nancy's."
