Celebrate Washington Organic Week aka WOW! with Tilth Producers this September 11-17th.

WOW! tells consumers about the true value of organic agriculture in Washington-environmentally, economically and nutritionally.

We’ll introduce the public to you – Washington’s Organic Farmers! Send us a photo of you on the farm and tell us why you choose to grow the way you do. We’ll post it on our special WOW! website:  www.washingtonorganicweek.com.

Governor Gregoire will join Tilth Producers in proclaiming September 11-17th Washington Organic Week with a new resolution! We’ll place ads, speak to the media, run public service announcements, host events and feature organic farms, farmers and crops on www.washingtonorganicweek.com and social media.

Forks Up for Farmers promotes partner farm-friendly restaurants in exchange for a 10% donation of their proceeds on September 13th to Tilth Producers . Please encourage your direct market restaurants to participate in Forks Up for Farmers by signing up online now at www.washingtonorganicweek.com. Twelve restaurants participated last year, and we want to double that number. With your help, we can meet our goal and use proceeds to educate more organic farmers.

We will also partner with others to promote Washington’s organic growers.  Here’s a taste of the week’s activities:

• Press conference on Washington Organic Agriculture, Monday, Sept.12th
• Organic Cocktail Contest Monday, Sept. 12th
• Forks up for Farmers Tuesday, Sept. 13th
• Organic Beer & Chocolate Tasting:Theo’s Chocolate, Friday, Sept.16th
• Organic Farm Tour by PCC Farmland Trust Sept.17th

Plan an event in your area! We will have buttons, postcards, organic educational guides and other resources available to help you promote WOW! and local events in your neck of the woods.
