Tilth Producers of Washington is a 600-member statewide nonprofit association representing and promoting the organic and sustainable agriculture industry in Washington. Membership breakdown is about 51% farmers; 24% organic industry; 10% academic/research; 8% consumer and 6% resource organizations.

Run primarily by and for farmers, Tilth Producers offers programs for education, networking, advocacy and research. Marketing and partnership opportunities include:

Tilth Producers Directory: A Washington Guide to Organic and Sustainable Growers, Food and Farm Suppliers, and Resources
• Washington’s informal “who’s who in organic agriculture;” 64-page, 8.5 x 11 inch magazine type format.
• Hard copy published biannually; two-year distribution period beginning May, 2009. PDF of printed directory is posted on line for two years.
• On line searchable database of directory listings by business name, category
• 8,000-10,000 copies distributed statewide via direct mail, retail stores, farmers markets, conferences, county extension offices, small farm programs, libraries & farm suppliers
• Non-Farm Business membership of $75 permits a free listing in the Directory. Farm Business listings are $45 annually and also include a free grower listing.
• Black & white Business Card to Full Page ads; prices range from $150 to $695; display advertisers receive a free one year membership in Tilth Producers.
• Ad production services available

Tilth Producers Quarterly Journal
• 24-page journal of interest to Washington organic growers, businesses, consumers, and researchers
• Published January, April, July and October; ad deadlines 3/10, 6/10, 9/10, 12/10
• 700 issues distributed quarterly via direct mail to Tilth Producers members; distributed as a marketing tool throughout the year at conferences, farmers markets and special events
• Accepts display ads
• Black & white Business Card to Full Page ads; prices range from $50 to $280 for a single issue or $180 to $950 for 4 issues.

Tilth Producers Annual Conference Program
• Listing or display ad in exchange for conference sponsorship
• Minimum sponsorship of $250 provides a text listing
• Sponsorship of $500 or more provides a display ad and listing; ¼ to full page
• Distribution to an average of 400 conference attendees each November.
• Location alternates annually east and west of Cascade Mountains 2010 Port Townsend; 2011 Yakima

Trade Show at Tilth Producers Annual Conference
• Booths for $250
• Attendance estimated at 450 growers, researchers, industry reps

Tilth Producers Annual Publicity Campaign
• Promotes local organic products to consumers
• Develops in store events and outreach material for retailers
