We provide learning opportunities and workshops for the community, as well as farm based education for seasonal apprentices. We are constantly working on more progressive and ecological farming methods, such as integrating pastured livestock and intensive cover cropping for healthier soils. Blending permaculture and organic methods, we've developed insectary habitat into our fields for our native pollinators and beneficial predatory insects. As of 2014 we are cultivating approximately 16 acres of mixed vegetables and cover crops. Additionally, we have 24 acres in hay/pasture and about 2 acres of heirloom apple orchard. All of our produce is certified organic by the Washington State Department of Agriculture. Alongside our market crops we also produce regionally adapted open-pollinated vegetable seed for our production as well as local sales. Our livestock production has included cattle, swine, goats, sheep, layer chickens and meat birds, and the usual gang of cats. Cloudview began as an experiment in local community-based living and eating, and has evolved over the years to serve the greater Central Washington area.
