Garden Treasures Nursery & Organic Farm
We are currently looking for 1-2 interns to work May – September. Our interns provide help at all levels of the farming and nursery operation and generally work anywhere from 30 to 50 hours per week. Our interns are an integral part of our crew helping in areas such as field work, running our booths at farmers markets, processing for restaurants or our CSA program, making deliveries, and assisting customers in our nursery, farm stand, and gift shop. We expect hard work, honesty, reliability, and a desire to learn about organic agriculture and running a farm business. You can expect to gain experience working in a direct-to-market farm and helping build a local food economy. Minimum wage will be paid. Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
General Description: Retail farm stand and nursery with CSA, Farmers Markets and Restaurant accounts. 22 acres of organic row crop production.

Minimum Length of Stay: 6 months
Meals: 30% off all items in our farm stand, nursery and gift shop, as well as free personal use of farm produced crops.
Skills Desired: Organic farming experience, retail experience, and/or knowledge of local and organic food and cooking.
Educational Opportunities: Learn the ins and outs of production and marketing of local food and plants. Tractor driving, truck driving, farmers markets, retail, and CSA planning and distribution.
Stipend: Minimum wage.
Housing: We have a late model 5th wheel trailer available with all amenities included except a washer and dryer. Rent negotiable.
