GRuB’s Cultivator CSA ($550)--Olympia
Posted on: 05/04/2012 4:20 pm
How does it work?
GRuB’s CSA is designed for folks who want to support our work as well as receive great produce and flowers! For 16 weeks from late June to early October, you’ll pick up your weekly share of healthy, local produce at the GRuB Farm in West Olympia and we’ll also send good food home with youth in our GRuB School Program. These same youth tend the farm, harvest for the CSA and are responsible for the high quality of your boxes.
How much does it cost?
We set the base cost of your CSA share at $300 (a great deal). Then we ask you to be a Cultivator by sponsoring a Youth Food Share for $250 (this portion is tax-deductible!). The total cost of your CSA is $550. Your support enables low-income and disengaged youth in GRuB School to bring the fruits of their labor home. This reduces strain on the family budget and often introduces healthier food into the family diet.
What’s included in my share?
Each week you’ll take home a box of fresh seasonal vegetables, fruit and herbs as well as a small bouquet of seasonal flowers. Each box will include a newsletter covering farm happenings, recipes, GRuB updates, and special youth writings.
How do I sign up?
That’s easy, follow this link here, fill out the form and submit it to the Farm Manager, Wade Arnold, in person or by mail. We do ask for a $100 deposit up front. If you have further questions, please contact Wade by email, email@example.com or by phone, 360-753-5522.
