Posted on: 12/11/2018 5:43 pm
We are looking for an experienced farmer to develop an organic vegetable operation and also assist in the organic pastured layer and organic blueberry operation as needed. This farmer and partner need to be willing to live onsite in a new 2BR farm apartment with laundry, full kitchen and full bath that we provide in exchange for labor hours as a non taxable benefit.
I have substantial infrastructure in place that includes greenhouse, electric fencing, hand and power tools, tractor and implements, commercial refrigeration, washing/packing equipment, poultry processing equipment, 1 Ton farm flatbed with lift gate, solar powered egg washer/grader and shop facility.
Couple or longer-term partners preferred (with one farmer and one working non-farmer who share the new housing) as we have a new 2 BR apartment with full kitchen, full bath, your own washer and dryer, all paid utilities, and a beautiful setting which is included as a TAX FREE benefit to this position that is worth ~ $1,400 per month (local Pierce County equivalent value.) Well behaved dogs welcome as property is fully fenced with NZ style fencing, gates etc.
If the relationship goes well after a full season we would like to explore a potential business partnership for subsequent seasons.
