2007-E3 Green Energy on the Farm

Green Energy on the Farm
Martin, Clark

Renewable energy sources are here now – and growing more popular every day – but are they a practical alternative for your farm?  This session will concentrate on small-scale working applications of solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind energy for electricity generation.  Topics will include siting considerations, power needs, basic system components, cost-effectiveness, reliability and appropriateness.  Presenters Jim Martin and Bob Smith of Solar Wind Energy Systems in Omak are commercial dealer/installers of both off-grid and grid-tied renewable energy systems in north-central Washington, whose installations also include remote stock watering. Questions are encouraged.
