Virtual Farm Walks: Showcasing Successful Farmers

Tilth Producer’s Farm Walk series has been a smashing success and it’s time to bring some highlights to the conference. Sam and Brooke Lucy of Bluebird Grain Farms in Winthrop will describe their farming operation of certified organic heirloom grains and dry products, with an informative slideshow highlighting the ins and outs and innovations of their system.  Through discussion and slides, Jan Pigman, of Pigman’s Organic Produce Patch in Olympia will  describe their 6-acre vegetable farm system and the disease and pest problems they have been having over the last few years.  Together with Jan, Nadja Galadram, from the organic lab and consulting business Let’s Grow Soil, will share solutions they have tried .
