Cheese-Making: Facilities Regulations and Getting Started

Dairy farm owners and cheese-makers M. Clare Paris and Carey Hunter will talk about what it took for them to get up and running as cheese-making facilities. Clare operates Larkhaven Farm in Tonasket, and Carey runs Pine Stump Farm in Omak. They will share information collected from informal interviews with other cheese-makers and dairies, as well as data collected from Carey’s participation in the statewide WSDA  dairy study group  The workshop format is designed to stimulate dialogue between attendees and the presenters to optimize relevance and response to the specific needs of the audience.
